SPACE TECHNIQUE AND TECHNOLOGY

The graduate is awarded an academic degree «Bachelor of technique and technology» in the specialty 5В074600 – «Space technique and technology»
The space industry is one of the priority areas of the life of society. The development of space programs determines the economic, scientific, technical, defense power of the state. Space activity is becoming one of the leading branches of the national economy of our Republic. Space activities include the creation (development, manufacture and testing), the use (operation) of space technique and space materials, the development and use of space technologies, the provision of other space-related services, as well as international cooperation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of research and use of space area.
The main areas of space activities include:
– Creation of rocket and space technique;
– Testing of technology in space conditions;
– Application of space technique for communication, television and radio broadcasting;
– Remote sensing of the Earth from space, including environmental monitoring and meteorology;
– Use of satellite navigation and topogeodesic systems;
– Manned space flights;
– Scientific space research;
– Observation of objects and phenomena in outer space;
– Manufacture in space of materials and other products;
– Other activities carried out with the help of space technique.
In the teaching process, modern teaching technologies are widely used. The material and technical base corresponds to the modern requirements of this branch of science and promotes the complete development of the educational program.
The program of training specialists on specialty 5В074600 – Space technique and technology is carried out by the Institute of Space Engineering and Telecommunications in the following areas of training:

Specialty students will receive the following knowledge: 
  1. Ground technical and launching complexes, onboard systems and the design of space vehicles and upper stages and the principles of their operation; factors of outer space.
  2. Fundamentals of the device, order of operation and requirements for the organization of operation and testing of technical and technological systems of spacecraft and space systems and their components.
  3. Spacecraft control, analysis of spacecraft flight dynamics, principles of the operation of receiving and transmitting devices.
  4. Rocket engines, hardware and software that support the operation of various units, systems, complexes and flight control of space vehicles.
  5. Tactical, technical and operational characteristics of space engineering.
  6. Equipment for missile and space systems, the basis for maintenance of the ground space infrastructure, space communication and navigation systems.
  7. Space remote sensing systems, knowledge of primary (standard) processing of remote sensing data and in the field of photogrammetric processing of space images.
  8. Standards, specifications and other regulatory and guidance materials for the design, development and design of technological and technical documentation.
  9. Technological processes of assembly, installation, adjustment and testing of space systems and their components.
  10. Technical English in the amount necessary to interact and obtain information from foreign sources in its professional field.
Teaching Methodology
When conducting lectures and practical exercises, Power Point presentations, models and posters are used. On the laboratory works AutoCAD 2015, C #, C ++ programming languages in the Visual Basic 2014 environment are used.
