Computer science

The graduate is awarded the “Bachelor” academic degree.
The purpose of the educational programs of the specialty 5B060200 – computer science is to provide comprehensive and high-quality training of qualified, competitive specialists in various fields of computer technology application and development of students’ personal qualities, as well as the formation of general cultural universal (general scientific, social, personal, instrumental) and professional competences in the field of computer technology and science.
The objectives of the educational programs
of the specialty 5В060200 – computer science are preparation of a new generation of graduates in the field of computer science and information technology development:
− ready to work in a competitive environment in the labor market of specialists in the field of information technology;
− possessing skills of highly effective use of means and methods of creation of information technologies and management of information flows;
− ready to use modern computer facilities in information systems;
− capable of solving professional problems for achieving financial stability and strategic effectiveness of the information systems at different stages of its life cycle.

The graduate must possess the following professional competencies:
– Hardware for the development of modern operating systems, taking into account the principles of reliability and fault tolerance, the design of real-time systems, processing of distributed data using parallel computers;
– software and hardware for regional and global information networks and development of Internet technologies
– software for computer visualization of science and technology tasks, animation of natural processes, abstract concepts in scientific research and pedagogical activity;
– modern approaches to the design of database management systems (DBMS), expert systems and artificial intelligence systems, image recognition problems;
– modern mathematical methods of informatics for solving problems of science, education, technology, economics and management;
– methods of teaching computer science in educational institutions.
