The graduate is awarded the “Bachelor” academic degree in the specialty 5В070300 – «Information systems»
The purpose of the educational programs of the specialty 5B070300 – information systems is to provide comprehensive and high-quality training of qualified, competitive specialists in various fields of application of information systems and the development of students’ personal qualities, as well as the formation of general cultural universal (general scientific, social, personal, instrumental) and professional competences.
The objectives of the educational programs of the specialty 5B070300 – information systems are the preparation of a new generation of graduates in the field of development and design of information systems:
− possessing skills of highly effective use of means and methods of creation of information technologies and management of information flows;
− ready to apply modern computer facilities in information systems;
− ready to work in a competitive environment in the labor market of specialists in the field of information technology;
− capable of solving professional problems for achieving financial stability and strategic effectiveness of the information systems at different stages of its life cycle.
The graduate must possess following professional competencies:
– be able to set and solve theoretical and applied problems using modern information and communication technologies.
– be able to maintain the information, software, technical, organizational and legal support of information systems and their components. Possess the skills of selection and being able to justify design solutions for the use of modern information technology.
– Possess the skills to document the processes of creating information systems at all stages of the life cycle, to know technological and functional standards, modern models and methods for assessing quality and reliability in the design and debugging of software.
– be able to conduct a survey of organizations, identify information needs of users, formulate requirements and specifications for information flows and information system, participate in the reengineering of business processes.
– be able to model and design data and knowledge structures, applied and information processes. Know the methods of analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of methods and tools to ensure information security.
– Have the skills to apply basic algorithms of information processing to the solution of applied problems, perform an estimation of the complexity of algorithms, code and test programs.
– Have the skills to assess the economic costs of projects, know the methods and technologies of project management for the creation and implementation of information systems in the business activities of organizations.
